HOW IT STARTED
Lippy Lu is run by Marisa and Lincoln - a mother and son team committed to supporting artisans who are living with disabilities.
​
Lincoln was diagnosed with autism when he was under two. From that time on, Marisa spent hours trying to enter Lincoln's silent world, so she could build a strong and loving foundation for him to grow. When he turned 18, their eyes were opened to the harsh realities of employment opportunities for adults with different abilities.
​
Again, linked arm in arm, Marisa and Lincoln headed into the unknown of adulthood together, with a steadfast determination to write their own story.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFEFRENT
It became clear that Lincoln would have difficulty finding a traditional job. Knowing Lincoln loved drawing and baking, Marisa set out to think outside of the employment box.
Lippy Lu is a reflection of Lincoln's strengths and Marisa's desire to create something beautiful, fun and meaningful with her son. A place where those with I/DD can find a respectful place to grow, dream and contribute to the greater community.

CREATING SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL
Lippy Lu wants to change the world of employment for adults with disabilities. We seek to empower adults living with disabilities across the US and beyond, while aiming to provide a supportive and inclusive environment.

Our artisans earn fair wages so they can build strong futures and have meaningful employment. Here they learn skills and more importantly, feel proud of the accomplishments and contributions they are making.

Lincoln was our first differently abled employee, but he is not the last. We have partnered with 15 LINC-d special needs artists to help us create our labels featuring their art. Our artisans help to create our products all the way from creation to shipping our products to your door.
